Assessment
Learners receive thorough assessments including functional skill assessments, academic skill assessments, functional problem behavior assessments and language and learning assessments. Appropriate assessment instruments and procedures are selected based upon the individual needs of each learner. Individualized treatment programs are developed using the assessment results and data collected during the assessment procedure is used as baseline to determine progress.
Behavior Intervention
Behavior Intervention Programs - Intervention programs select behaviors for deceleration and identify target behaviors to replace problem behaviors. These are developed after careful observation of the learner in several environments, interviews with caregivers, direct interaction with the learner and other measures as determined necessary. Implementation of the intervention program mandates ongoing caregiver involvement and program oversight, including competency-based training, data collection, data review and data based program modification. In some circumstances, direct service to the learner is required.
Verbal Behavior & Skill Acquisition
Skill Acquisition - Skill acquisition programs identify specific target behaviors for each learner. Skills range from language skills to learning to read, write and compute to learning and applying necessary skills to develop and maintain social interactions. Treatment programs employ only scientifically validated procedures. Data are collected at every stage of treatment in order to maximize learner performance and determine treatment effectiveness. Skill acquisition programs are implemented in one-on-one and small group settings, contingent upon the learner's needs.
Speech-Language Therapy- Speech-Language therapy is available as an exclusive service or as a supplemental service to our other program models. Scientifically validated teaching procedures are employed to ensure rapid acquisition of speech and language skills.
Clinical Classroom
The Clinical Classroom model offers learners the opportunity to experience intensive language, academic, social and self-help skill training in a unique classroom setting that affords each learner 1:1 and small group opportunities. Individual objectives and targeted skills are instructed and integrated during every activity. Opportunities are afforded for immediate practice of newly acquired skills with peers in a carefully designed educational setting, guaranteeing that your child can apply skills learned in a one-on-one fashion in small groups. Because research demonstrates that people learn best when they are motivated, the teaching procedures employed offer high rates of reinforcement and materials are carefully selected to increase the motivation of each learner to acquire new skills.
All individual learner programs and intensive learning activities are designed and implemented by Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Applied Behavior Clinicians, Certified Teachers and a Speech Language Pathologist. Data is maintained on specific skill behaviors each day; parents receive daily reports to indicate their child's performance in each of the learning zones as well as quarterly progress reports. Skills are considered mastered once the learner is able to demonstrate them across multiple settings:
Tier One-1:1 Intensive training sessions
Tier Two-Carefully designed, instructor facilitated small group activities
Tier Three- Natural environment or facilitated play activities

The LEAP Program
At first glance, the LEAP program looks like a small pre-school classroom. Created and implemented by a Speech Language Pathologist and a Behavior Analyst with dual teacher certification, the LEAP program identifies language and other critical skills that are in need of intervention in order for your child to become more capable of learning from his everyday experiences.
The STAR Program
Social Skills Training - Our STAR Group (Skills Training for Affective Relationships) offers small group training opportunities designed to increase social language and reciprocal social behaviors. Social skills groups provide a safe and exciting environment for your child to blossom.

The LIFE Program
The LIFE Program offers a unique opportunity for individuals desiring more autonomy in activities of daily living. Increasing independence and fostering enjoyment from tasks is paramount in this program.
Based upon individualized assessments, participants engage in motivating activities aimed at increasing individual skill repertoires.
