LIFE Program

Our L.I.F.E. (Living Independently in Functional Environments) Program offers individual and small group training opportunities designed to increase the self-help skills, independent functioning, leisure, and recreational skills for learners. Independent skills, routines, and self-management skills are learned and practiced in both intensive and natural environments.

Designed to increase the independent life and work skills of young adults.

The LIFE Program offers a unique opportunity for individuals desiring more autonomy in activities of daily living. Increasing independence and fostering enjoyment from tasks is paramount in this program. Based upon individualized assessments, participants engage in motivating activities aimed at increasing individual skill repertoires.

Lead by Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts, this program provides behavioral training in the following areas:

  • Self-Care
  • Vocation
  • Domestic
  • Production
  • Leisure
  • Recreation
  • Food Preparation
  • Activities of Daily Living

Individual skills targeted within training areas are presented in a manner designed to increase learner motivation and independence.

If you are interested in the LIFE Program, please contact us to schedule an intake assessment. A member of our team will conduct interviews with family members, caregivers and the targeted participant. A brief assessment will be completed to determine the needs of the potential participant. Groups are formed with needs in mind to ensure quality programming consistent with the ethical guidelines of Applied Behavior Analysis. Individual and group goals are carefully selected. Information regarding progress is shared with family members and caregivers at the end of each session.
